Play the Piper

I've been whiling away my time with some production software that allows me to to restructure music videos to fit a remix of the original song. It can be a painstaking process (chopping/changing/speeding up/slowing down/believing that a love can hit the top/playing around/etc.) but is surprisingly addictive at the same time and usually results in a "I did this!" inner glow kind of feeling.

Plus there's the added satisfaction of discovering that 23 people in the world have been waiting all their lives to see Vanilla perform the Xenomania mix of "No Way, No Way".

In true Blue Peter style, here's one I prepared earlier. It's a video mix to accompany the Almighty Medley of Billie's greatest hits

Watch! As an admittedly hyperactive Billie romps her way through, "Day and Night", "Honey to the Bee", "Something Deep Inside", "Girlfriend", "Because We Want To", "Walk of Life" and "She Wants You". All in the space of seven minutes, thirteen seconds flat.

Marvel! At the pop chameleon that is Billie as she reinvents herself with every song, going from Teen Poppette to Sk8ter Girl to Flower Fairy to All-American "Gal" Next Door to British Britney to Letitia Dean's Sister(?) to Eco-Warrior(??).

Wonder! Why Billie packed in the whole pop lark to become a serious actor-y type. Still, as she once admitted, "I don't do live music". Now, if only someone who sits behind a desk judging people on their singing ability on prime time television each week could be so honest...

It is. Just choose a remix you like (an edit is good so that it will be near the original's length), nab a video off YouTube and Bob's your uncle.

Mashing
Just wondering, have you tried making a video for a mashup track?

Re: Mashing
I haven't yet. But if I find one I like and no one else has done a video for it, I'll give it a go.
